Exemption from Florida sales and use tax is granted to certain nonprofit organizations and governmental entities that meet the criteria set forth in sections (ss.) 212.08(6), 212.08(7), and 213.12(2), Florida Statutes (F.S.). Florida law requires that these nonprofit organizations and governmental entities obtain an exemption certificate from the Department of Revenue.
